Ambassador of Israel to South Africa

"To the faithful You show yourself faithful; to those with integrity You show integrity". Psalm 18:27 (NLT)

The Man of God, Prophet Philip Banda has walked the length and the breath of the land of Israel more than a decade.
God Almighty has seen his faithfulness and commitment towards Israel and his love towards His chosen people, the Jewish Nation. In return, God has brought Israel to him in the form of the top representative of the land.
On Sunday 30th April 2017, IFCM (Impact for Christ Ministries) was graced by the presence of the Israel Ambassador to South Africa, his Excellency, Mr. Arthur Lenk.
Celebrations were heard in praise and worship, we danced in our African style and Hebrew prayers were recited. It did feel like the Ambassador was sent by God Almighty to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor for us. The oil of joy and the garment of praise removed all manner of heaviness during the service. The whole sanctuary was saturated by tangible presence of God.
When the Ambassador was given an opportunity to address the congregation, his first question was “do you believe in miracles’? And this question is especially relevant to the IFCM members because Prophet Philip Banda stands for and with Israel and the Ambassador’s visitation was a way of God telling us to believe his servant.
The Ambassador boldly declared that IFCM is a bridge between Africa and Israel. He briefly articulated similar challenges that Africa and Israel face and described how we can conquer them together. He strongly believes in the connection between Africa and Israel which goes back as far as the time of his forefather Jacob. He said that the connection was established during the famine in the land of Canaan and Jacob’s sons went down to Egypt to look for food.

The God of Israel once again granted the Man of God, Prophet Philip Banda the grace to lead the yearly Pilgrimage to Israel in 2016. As it is still the winter season in the Middle East, the freezing weather did not discourage the pilgrims of this historic spiritual event as everyone was looking forward to spend Christmas in Bethlehem.
The first three (3) days were spent around the Sea of Galilee visiting the surrounding areas such as Capharnaum and Korazim. The visits also included “The Mount” where Lord Jesus taught the Beatitudes to the multitudes according to Matthew 5, sailing in the boat on the Sea of Galilee as well as baptism in the River Jordan.
On the way to the Dead Sea, the pilgrims stopped briefly at Cana to witness the renewal of vows for the married couples who were part of the group. The wedding church in Cana is built right on top of the very foundation of the building where Jesus attended a wedding and turned the water into wine.
The long awaited moment finally arrived to ascend to the Holy City of God, Jerusalem. According to the scriptures, the Israelites had been commanded to appear before the Lord three (3) times a year in Jerusalem. As the Pilgrim step their feet on the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) to present their petitions before God Almighty, the Bible became more alive. Different nations and races were represented in numbers on the Walling Wall as they were offering their prayers to God Almighty, reminding us of the prayer offered by King Solomon in:
2 Chronicles 7:32-33
32 “Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for the sake of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray in this temple; 33 then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.
For the remaining days, the Pilgrims walked the length and breadth of the old city of Jerusalem. The Hanukkah celebration preparations were welcoming as the lights brightened the city and the songs of joy and victory were heard nearer and from afar.
Notable on this trip, more amazing evidences have been discovered as the excavations are ongoing in Israel, particularly in Jerusalem. Archaeologists have discovered more rooms below the remains of the Western Wall (destroyed temple). Such evidence makes it impossible to deny that God watches over his Holy City, Jerusalem 24/7 and 365 days a year. After centuries and centuries, God Almighty has kept these evidences for us and our generations to witness that the Bible is true in its entirety.

On the 25th of December 2016, the pilgrims led by Prophet Philip Banda made a historic spiritual journey to the most holy site situated in Hebron. According to Genesis 23, Abraham bought the cave of Machpelah from the sons of Heth to bury his dead. It is at this place where the Patriots, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives, Sarah, Rebecca and Leah were buried. Hebron is a very important part of Israel as this was also the Head Quarters of King David for seven (7) years before he relocated to Jerusalem.
The pilgrims then headed for Bethlehem as it is recorded in the Holy Scriptures that the angels had announced the birth of Christ the Lord to the shepherds who were keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luke 2:13-15
“13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us”.
People from all walks of life were waiting patiently well over an hour inside the Church of Nativity. Upon reaching the manger, others were kneeling, others touching it and even lying prostrate as sign of acknowledgement of the birth of the King of Kings over 2000 years ago. The surrounding environment was filled with excitement and gigantic Christmas trees were seen nearer with bright lights. The celebration of Christ’s birth was witnessed with joy and excitement.
A question then remained: what are all these nations searching for in the Holy Land especially during Christmas as this period is deemed to be time to spend with families and loved ones? Are they searching for gold or diamond or any precious stone? The answer is: the search is far beyond any precious stone that’s exist. It is about that fulfilling spiritual journey to explore and experience the Bible alive in the land where it all started. The land whom God Almighty promised to Abraham and all his descendants, the Jews.
